The Concept

The shift toward a circular economy is fundamentally changing our aesthetic perception. Instead of valuing flawless, uniform surfaces, there is a growing appreciation for materials that show origin, use, and transformation. Imperfections, traces of recycling, and visible material cycles become part of the visual language, redefining beauty as something dynamic and process-driven rather than static and perfected.

In the automotive context, a material-driven design approach places these qualities at the center. Materials are no longer hidden behind seamless finishes but are expressed honestly, revealing their lifecycle and composition. This leads to designs that are adaptive, repairable, and open to change over time.

Proposed solution

“Vision Blanko” proposes a systemic organization of this more fluid form of design, focusing on the continuous input and output of raw materials. Rather than creating a fixed object, it envisions the car as part of an ongoing cycle—where materials flow, evolve, and reconfigure—shaping both its function and its aesthetic.
